TIPI FLOORS       

Our tipi floors are made of a high-quality, flame-resistant, mildew resistant acrylic coated polyester/cotton fabric. These floors have the look of treated canvas and are often used when the floor must look like it's made from 'period' material. Our acrylic coated floors hold up much better than treated canvas floors and are about the same cost. Floors are cut slightly larger than required and must be trimmed to final size.

My favorite configuration is a pallet type floor with a stone hearth in the fire pit area. Our interior Redwood Floors are custom fit for your Reese Tipi to bring a new level of comfort and design.  Our redwood tipi floors are custom made in our own facility. Redwood floors add more than beauty to your tipi. The unique patent pending design captures the poles in place, preventing them from moving in windy weather. The locking action, keeps the poles from sliding inward and prevents pockets from forming that can catch the wind. The liner seals directly to the floor, keeping unwanted drafts and critters out and warmth in. In addition, our modular design, allows the tipi to be re-located if needed thus maintaining the "portability" of the tipi and eliminating the need for building permits in most areas. Our unique "4-direction" design brings a peaceful synergy to the tipi bringing your tipi experience to a new level.   Only in a tipi - only in a Reese Tipi.  

We've also had good experience with other wood floors and decks. If considering a custom exterior deck for your tipi, we recommend reviewing one of the many custom deck books at your local library or building supply store and then giving us a call for specific design considerations. Remember that most localities require a building permit for an exterior deck large enough to support a tipi. All exterior decks must have at least 2' of clearance completely around the tipi to allow room to maneuver the smoke flap poles. For a 19.5' tipi, you should build a deck that is at least 23.5' in diameter.
